I Need a Moment To Be Real I'm a good, decent and kind man looking for someone to get to know and maybe start a life with. I work in Chicago, and have a lot of good friends, but finally realize that I want to meet someone who can share the goof and bad stuff in life with. I want a partner, a lover and a trusted friend

I like to write and have been published. Someday, I would like to write full-time, but I still work a job and write in the time in-between. This doesn't mean my face is always in a book, though I love reading. I live by a great big lake, and spend most of my Summer and Spring somewhere near or on it.

I am not perfect-looking, but think I'm attractive because of my approach to life: I treat everyone - man or woman - as I find them. If they are jerks, I ignore them. If they are kind, have emotional and intellectual depth to them, I gravitate towards them.

I am a 'man' and not a 'guy'; a guy thinks with the Little Head whereas a man makes his decisions with the Big Head. This doesn't mean I don't get turned on, but it does mean that I don't let it rule my decisions. My pleasure isn't worth someone else's unhappiness.

I am told that I am generous, kind and often a big kid at heart. I like animals and little kids. I deeply believe in family and want one, too.

I am a one-woman man; its just too exhausting to try and give my love and attention to more than one woman. If I am with you, then you get all of my attention. That doesn't mean I am some clingy or jealous dope. Jealousy is for people who don't like themselves enough to trust that their partner loves them for the right reasons.
